Size
We’re looking for between 1-3 acres of land, suitable for veg growing initially. In the future this could be increased to include small scale livestock ventures. We will appraise your site and determine what type and scale of system may be most relevant.

Suitability
We will look at site context and topography, access requirements, water access and even planning considerations to ensure we get the best possible solution for the site. This will also aim to include a roadmap for how the venture can be kickstarted.

We will also look at how the proposal will fit into the local food network, ensuring no direct competition and matching supply to demand. We will look to secure a market and price point for the produce.

As a landowner what are the benefits for me?
You will receive rent for your land, to be agreed with your grower and depending on the facilities available.
You’ll be connected to a ready market for produce and help to create jobs.
Better public relations and help for farmers to integrate into the wider community at a difficult time for livestock farming.
Will there be any planning issues to consider?
We can support and advise with any planning applications, such as change of use, construction of buildings, poly tunnels, although this may not be necessary depending on location etc.
Have I got to be organic?
We are not looking for certification but we want to support regenerative methods, for instance no dig or low dig, use of cover crops, rotational grazing etc, with minimal soil disturbance and use of chemicals.
Will this make a mess of my land, littering it with plastic and random structures?
We will draw up written agreements between landowners and growers outlining managements rules that both will be happy with.
Is my soil good enough?
We can help with soil testing and methods of soil improvement.
Will there be any help with finance?
We are researching various sources of funding, grants, crowdfunding, sponsorship etc. We’re confident that, with so much emphasis on the vulnerability of the food supply and the biodiversity and climate crises, we will find ways forward.
